By partnering with Reality, Ardent has enhanced Lead STaR with the ability to look up medical practitioner’s NPI numbers and to keep a record of gifts given to them. This satisfies the Sunshine Act requirement that enables medical companies to once again give the small, personal gifts that were so popular among caregivers.

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 contains a section called the Physicians Payments Sunshine Act. Many medical companies are starting to give gifts again, as this section specifically allows gifts up to $10 to be given away as long as the annual total from one company to one caregiver does not exceed $100. Through their partnership with Reality, Ardent’s Lead STaR now easily and affordably satisfies the Sunshine Act gift requirements to enable medical firms to attract and thank their valuable clients.
